Pruning Swamp Hibiscus in Spring
When the danger of frost has passed, you can prune the swamp hibiscus to stimulate growth and remove damaged or frost-damaged stems.
The pruning is quite radical.
Mr. Grzegorz recommends continuing to cover short stems during nighttime frosts with foil.
Propagation of Swamp Hibiscus
If you feel like it, you can propagate swamp hibiscus from woody tips in May or June. The hibiscus will root in warm soil when the air temperature is around 25°C. The plant will root well if we cover it tightly with foil and water it daily to create high humidity.
Good luck!
