Perennial hibiscus (also known as swamp hibiscus) loves nutrient-rich, consistently moist soil. In drier or less fertile conditions, it may bloom less abundantly, but it can still thrive.
You can also grow it in a pot – this makes care easier and makes it a great choice for balconies or patios.
Garden centers often offer striking varieties from the Summerific™ series. These are known for their enormous flowers, ranging from 17 to 24 cm in diameter – real showstoppers! We’re especially fond of this hibiscus because it blooms in late summer, adding beauty to the garden after the main blooming season has passed.
💡 Tip: Swamp hibiscus thrives best in areas with constantly moist soil – for example, near a pond or water feature.
